Eighteen years from intern to engineering executive.

Lead engineering, architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, AI initiatives, product delivery and R&D for an agentic AI transformation platform — the measurement layer and enterprise agent architecture behind the company's work with global enterprises.

Scaled the engineering organization from 1 to 11 engineers while supporting cross-functional teams of up to 21 people, and led the transformation of a monolithic platform into cloud-native microservices on AWS — cutting infrastructure cost by 50% while improving scalability and regional deployment.

Direct AI strategy, recommendation engine evolution, knowledge graph initiatives and AI-assisted development practices. Currently leading SOC 2 Type II certification across security controls, governance, policy and risk, and a ₺5M TÜBİTAK-funded AI R&D programme, with a €2M EIC initiative in progress.

Led engineering and DevOps across SaaS, mobile, web and metaverse products, managing both internal and outsourced teams. Reorganized 23 repositories and introduced an SDLC culture to bring consistency to delivery.

Designed and delivered Phase 1 of a metaverse project end-to-end (a team of 18, mostly outsourced) and led system design for Phase 2, alongside architecture for a second metaverse platform and a financial application.

DefineX formed from the team behind Accenture Turkey's technology consulting practice — same people, same client relationships, new company. I carried forward from Accenture in this role, managing a full delivery team and owning technical client relationships for banking transformation programmes, including closing out corporate loan decision tools and the IFRS 9 financial-analysis system I'd started building at Accenture.

Led the company's first international project, standing up its AWS DevOps environment from scratch.

Also joined a small pod of senior engineers — no hierarchy, everyone owned their own piece — to build one of the first open banking MVPs in Turkey, ahead of the government’s regulatory framework. Being early meant defining the product as much as building it.

Led the team maintaining a major insurer's core system — millions of daily transactions, seven internal departments, third-party agencies in the mix. Replaced informal, ad-hoc client requests with a structured process, cutting production issues by 80% and lifting delivery capacity by 40% with the same headcount.

Started by leading a 5-person team maintaining a bank's core Corporate Loans system, cutting production issues by 99% and resolving two issues that had sat unfixed for over a year — including deep work on the bank's IFRS 9 financial analysis and reporting system.

Promoted to lead a $4M PEGA transformation of the bank's Corporate Banking platform — 9 developers directly, 19 across two sub-projects — architecting a decision system spanning 40+ KPIs and 162 services.

Where it started: joined as an intern, selected from a pool of 20 candidates. Was later promoted to lead developer, and architected LOGO’s e-invoice system — a database built to handle over a million transactions a day, years before "cloud-scale" was a common expectation.

Also solo-built LOGO’s contribution to EU-funded research projects (PaaSPort, IMAGINE Future Factories): a semantic search engine, developed end-to-end on my own — taking an analyst’s MSc thesis on semantic keyword matching with a self-feedback loop and turning it into a working, production system, years before "AI" became a buzzword; among engineers, it was already a serious, sophisticated subject.

Separately, co-led Diyalogo.com, our B2B platform, building a three-way real-time sync across our ERP, the B2B platform and our B2C storefront, integrated with Alibaba.com — a country-first, and by our understanding at the time, a world-first.
